A common problem with many vegans is that they kinda miss some of their favorite foods, when they turn vegan and vegan mayo is no exception. However, some others never really felt like missing any of the tastes. For those of you that belong to the first category and feel like missing the smooth and filling taste of mayo, here is a recipe that promises to bring back the taste, in a harmless and cruelty-free way.

Also, it should be mentioned that the original mayonnaise is full of cholesterol and is fatty as well, while the vegan version of it is cholesterol-free and is less fatty and (last, but not least), since the ingredients used contain no gluten, then make a lucky guess……… Vegan Mayo is gluten-free as well!

This recipe will be used quite a lot in the future, so make sure you visit our recipes section and especially the sub-section containing our recipes for meals.

 TIME: 15min

 INGREDIENTS:

 [for medium mayo]

 -4 tablespoons oil

 -100ml dairy-free milk (UNSWEETENED)

 -5 tablespoons gluten-free apple cider

 -2 teaspoons salt

 [for thin, creamy mayo]

 -61/2 tablespoons oil

 -130ml dairy-free milk (UNSWEETENED)

 -5 tablespoons gluten-free apple cider

 -2 teaspoons salt

 [for watery mayo]

 -4 tablespoons oil

 -170ml dairy-free milk (UNSWEETENED)

 -5 tablespoons gluten-free apple cider

 -2 teaspoons salt

 HOW TO MAKE IT:

Before starting, it should be explained that the types of mayonnaise are completely something that you know better than anybody else, meaning that you are the one to decide whether you want your mayonnaise creamy, watery or something between these two! Feel free to add more milk or oil, or less of these two, but keep in mind that the ending result HAS to be a mayonnaise, taste like mayonnaise and look like mayonnaise, so you should better follow the steps and experiment ONLY if you feel like handling it!

Put all of your ingredients into an bowl and use an immersive blender to pulse, until the mayonnaise emulsifies. Start by placing the immersive blender’s edge at the bottom of the bowl. Once the mixture seems to have become smooth enough, start moving your blender up and down, to make every last drop of oil be combined with the rest of the mixture.

Your Vegan Mayonnaise is ready. If you need to make higher portions of it, you can simply use a bigger portion of the ingredients used for making it. Also, in case you want to store it somewhere, you can either store it into your fridge, or into a chilling place, out of the sight of sunlight. Vegan Mayonnaise lasts longer than the average non-vegan mayo, so you needn’t worry too much, especially in case you use the fridge.

 ENJOY!
